Man U goal keeper Edwin Van der sar would have retired from the game by now if Sir Ferguson had not come nad signed him from their FA cup quarters oppenents Fulham in 2005.
The 38 year old last line defence has set a new record of consecutive clean sheets in the domestic season and his future is still commanding as he is appearing for both Ajax and Dutch Nation team.
However there was a time before Ferguson came calling to come to its conclusion.
